Bill are you SURE the lines run under the floor??  I have a 77 and the lines
run along the left side from the water tank under the bed and  then across
the trailer under a metal cover that runs across the very back wall of the
trailer. (the wall that divides the trunk area from the bathroom )  Yours
could be hidden by carpeting or wood covering but as far as  know they were
all made this way.  There was no reason to run the water lines under the
floor.  Is your water tank under your drivers side bed? any water spurting
will eventually run down into the bottom and find a way to leak out of the
metal covering on the bottom of the trailer, but that does not mean the
lines are under the floor.  Just trying to save you from making a big
mistake by ripping up your floor.  Carl Rodgers
