Also check the stem glands on any valves such as the water closet supply
service valve (called "shut off valve" below). Often all that is needed
to stop a leak around the stem is to slightly tighten the gland nut.
Don't overdo the tightening. A little will do, just enough to stop a
weep, then just a tweak.
