Great site. I am remodeling a 1968 Airstream Trade Wind. Also looking at a 1956 Silver Streak Jet. I am hooked on camping for recreation, and aluminum vintage riveted travel trailers. I have learned some skills I would not know otherwise: riveting, flooring, polishing, welding, sheet metal repairs, much more in little ways. I like seeing other projects and learning from others.

Hi, I bought a 1967 Silver Streak Empress and oh man never buy one you don't look in :!mad: I am slowly getting it done by myself but an ex friend of mine took my stove/oven now I don't have one and need it as I am going to live in my trailer :!cry: Saw this site and just popped in to see if anyone knew of a stove that would fit my old SL. Love the site some nice trailers! :!cool:

Like your site. I have a 34' SS thats sitting for about 8 years. It will be an interesting restoration as my wife insisted on painting the cabinet pink.

Hello Mr. Patterson,

My husband and I are about to join the SS family by purchasing a 1972 SS that has been in a barn for 17 yrs. We've only seen pictures of it on line but we have communicated with the lady who's selling it. Could you share with us how we might obtain any and all technical info on this old beauty? I haven't been able to find much other than brochure type specs. I would like to see a wiring diagram, water line layout, etc. Thanks for anything you can do. Looking forward to hittin' the road! Peace, Nan

Driving south on pch going through huntington beach. Saw a travel car with back porch. Had to make a U turn and take pictures. I have always been a trailer owner and never even thought about a motor home but this one realy got me thinking.
