First step for anyone wishing to learn more about solar panels is tocontact
any of the solar panel providers. We have used solar panels on ourAirstreams
for 10 years and find they do exactly what we want (months withouthookups and
still run all our toys, i.e. computer, TV, satellite receiver, printer,
blender, vacuum).

One provider is RV Solar Electric in Scottsdale, Arizona (800) 999-8520.Noel
Kirkby is owner and has personally been involved in all our installations.
He's professionally competent and extremely helpful whenever I callhim or
stop at his place. Suggest you call and ask to be put on their mailinglist.
He and his wife, Barbara put out a yearly booklet for making solidsolar
decisions.

As RVers, each of us is different in how we use electrical energy. Thatmeans
you should determine exactly what you hope to accomplish before decidingon
the solar panel configuration you want. A major recommendation is togo slow,
be thorough in your assessment of electrical needs and persistent ingaining
an understanding of every single detail associated with the project.Do that
and chances are you'll end up being a happy camper.

Further discussion of details are in an old issue of VAC newsletterthat I
wrote. You might ask Editor Tom if that data is available. My filesaren't
with me or I'd offer to send the page to you. As full timers we don'tcarry
EVERYTHING with us. But, a call to Noel should give you a running start.Bye,
