I always tow with a Reese Dual Cam Sway Control on my 1964 Overlander.
Granted, it may be overkill but it does provide a much greater senseof
security. I have used this set-up with both my 1995 Chevrolet K1500Club
Cab Z71 as well as my current 1999 GMC K2500 Suburban. I didn't haveany
trouble with the standard adjustable drop Reese Hitch on my Chevrolet, but
on the Suburban a special order Reese Dropped hitch was required.
Fortuneately, my nearby Airstream dealer, Ace Fogdall in Cedar Falls,IA
had the set-up in-stock and had my Suburban properly set-up in
no-time-flat. It was an added expense, but well worth the expenditurein
terms of increased towing security. I towed my Overlander to Boisethrough
several intense thunderstorms as well as heavy winds throughout Nebraska
without an problems with sway under any conditions, and there wasn'tany
need to physically adjust the dual cam sway control in wet conditionsas
would be required with friction devices.

I believe that you can find the same Reese extra drop adjustable mountat
Camping World, but their on-line catalog does not list the product. The
following site does, however list the available Reese extra-rise/extra-drop
ball mounts:
