It is my understanding that fiberglass and 2-part resin (the two partsare
actually a resin and a hardener) is very strong and has good adherence
properties to many surfaces. However, I believe it is also vulnerableto
ultraviolet radiation. If one is talking about applying this kind offix on
the top of the trailer it might be wise to coat is with an ultraviolet
screening varnish. I use one on my wooden boat. All of the seams onmy
boat are held together with fiberglass. The varnish I use is call Sun
Shield.

If one goes to the automotive section of your store to obtain this
fiberglass and resin fix it may be especially vulnerable to ultraviolet
because most automotive surfaces will be painted after repaired to
ultraviolet radiation would not be a strong factor in those cases.

It is possible to use other kinds of substances with fiberglass. OneI
especially like is called West Epoxy. If you live in Canada a similar
product is called East Epoxy. Both are resin/hardener compounds thathave
to be mixed.

Sincerely,

Pete
