What actuates those brakes, do they use a surge coupler? (my wife'shorse
trailer had one of those) Repair/rebuild of the brake assemblies wouldbe just
like on the rear of a car, or so I'd think. If they use a surge coupler,the
master cylinder is pretty conventional, even simpler than today's dualbraking
systems.
It's apparently possible to change out the backing plates and convertto
electric brakes if you wish. They're probably more reliable in thelong run.
