Several years ago I personally polished a Bambi and a Bubble, both being16ft.
units. I had two buffers, one being orbital, and after much testingI found
that what worked very well for me was a variable speed electric drill.( Oh, I
have a large compressor also, but only used it for blowing air.) Iused a high
quality pad (many of them) that I inserted into the drill, then I onlyused THE
EDGE of the pad----- this keeps any swirls from happening. I also wentwith the
direction of the grain of the metal. I started out with a rubbing compoundas
there was a lot of oxidation to remove. I then finished off with apolishing
compound. It was a lot of dirty work, but the results were well worthit!!
