Granted Airmark polishing is a unbelievable look, however it can be
accomplished by you with the right tools which include some type ofbelly
buffer. The Idea is to polish the trailer just like you would a pieceof
metal on a bench grinder (with a buff pad) anybody who has worked with
metal will know what I mean. the slow circular motion of a traditional
buffer will work but you will have round swirls which require you togo
back over it by hand with a finer polish to remove. A high speed wheel
type buffer is the ticket. this is what Jim and his men use.this allows
them to bring the trailer to a high shine quick and without swirl, and yes
its just that easy... Now the belly buffer is 1200.00 bananas you haveto
have a good compressor (1000 more bafos) and the proper polishing compound
(roughly 300.00) this will allow you to buff your trailer and sealit when
complete in less than half the time and with no swirls. of course you
will also have time in stripping plasticote if you have one. I justwonder
if jims company is the only one selling this belly type buffer andif their
is one that is made that runs on electric? if so, this could cut your
cost dramatically and justify doing it yourself. PS This techniquealso
must include a final seal so you dont have to do it all over it sixmonths,
which airmark will also seal to you for a small fee.
