Mike and Lisa, I think the cabinets on the interior shots of Gunther
Hauer's 49 Airsream in the Classic RV website are covered with stainless
steel. You will see that treatment in commercial kitchens and some
luxury galleys on Yachts. I agree, it looks fabulous. The interior
skin looks shiney, but not mirror polished. I think if you want to
strip the paint from the interior skin and cabinets.............youare
in for a Mondo big job. I'll stand back, tip my hat, and applaud you
all the way, ........but you're in for a job that wll never seem to
end.

If you just want to strip the paint from the wood or the cabinets orany
remaining plasticote on the inside or outside, yu can use ...Savagran
Stripeeze Semi paste formula or Bix stripper.
Its a little messy, but after what I've read about some of your exploits
already, this will be a cake walk. Just take care and follow the
directions. .........That funny splatter paint was called Zolatone. If
your wife wants to strip the interior skin and polish it,
.........experiment with a lower panel that can be repainted easilyand
is easily accessable. That way, if the results are less than
favorable, you can repaint it and move right along. The cabinets might
look good. Any way you go, good luck, and let us know the results.
