Hey Don, YeeeeHaw. PMFJIH, but I just had the opportunity to see a 51
Flying cloud with original tail-lights. They were a kinda funky
squarish/rectangular 4"x 2" lite with a niffty chrome squarish rim. Not
particularly pretty. Unless you are rabid for exact restoration, my
recomendation is to go with the New Signal-Stat tail lights with
stainless or chrome rims. The lights are up to code, very bright,
available at most truck service centers, and most importantly, they look
good!! Tom Howarth just put those type on his Flying Cloud, and do they
ever look SHARP, inexpensive also. I'll try to get you the hotlink for
a look-see.

Just talked to Bud Cooper yesterday and he's excited that there will be
a solid contingent from Colorado. We will wait for newcomers before we
have the polishing seminar. Let me know when you and the FAMOUS 18 ft
Clipper will be there. Don Horn is also coming with his new "no
brakes" Caravel, I can't wait to see both you guys. A beautiful
perfectly original, just polished 61 Tradewind might be there, I'm
twisting his arm right now. Anywho, thats the latest. Tell your
friends, Tell other VAC 'ers. I'm sure Bud Cooper will also thrill us
with the exciting tales of Wally Byam's first Wild and Wooley Caravan
to Central America in 1951-52. Let me know and please bring a crowd.
