Hello All,

With respect to the fiasco that I caused the list last night tryingto post a
picture of the tail light replacements for my 1953 21' Flying Cloud,I wish to
direct folks to the following web site

courtesy of Tom Patterson. Thank you very much Tom, I appreciate it.

The lights are 4" in diameter and are marked as "Signal-Stat 3600" SeriesSAE IPRST
85 DOT. The lens is marked as CycloStat II, SAE STI 88. I was wrongon where I
purchased them last night. The correct information is,

CUSTOM TRUCK & ELECTRONICS, 937.437.1000, Exit 156B for US-40 Westin New Paris,
OH. They specialize in truck chrome and stainless accessories amongother trucker
parts but are a small business and were quite cordial in helping me.

As I wrote last night, these same style lights were available in 5"and 6" and even
larger diameters (I sort of recall 8" and 10" too!). I also think thatthey were
available with either chromed over brass, aluminum or polished stainlesssteel trim
rings. I went with the polished stainless steel (I have a weaknessfor polished
stainless steel as many folks who have seen my trailer will attestto).

Now with regards to the running lights, I also replaced these on theway home from
Boise last summer. Boy did I find a treasure in this department. Ihad
replacement Pathfinders on the trailer but they really were not thatbright and the
plastic lens covers would always crack, let in water and dirt, etc.I just never
liked them. So during our travels I often stop at Flying J's for gas,LP, dump
stations, even showers, etc. During one of my stops I noted they hada big bin
full of amber side makers with chrome rails (protection guards). Thelights were
cheap, something like $2 or $3 each so I bought four amber with thechrome guards
and then separately purchased two red plastic lights by themselves(the chrome
rails were not part of the red set). I then swapped the red lightsinto the extra
amber lights to give me two amber with chrome guard and two red withchrome guard.
At the next campground I installed these new lights and now, sincethey each have 2
bulbs, am running with much more light. These are very common styletruck side
markers that I now notice on most every truck such that it should neverbe a
problem to find replacements. The chrome guards look complementaryand are useful
for protecting the plastic lens from being banged into. The only markingon the
lens are "SAE P2PC93 (for the amber)" while the interior has an imprintthat reads
"VSM Newark, NJ" The two bulbs are #1895. For folks that attended theBoise Rally
last summer I believe that these are the same type of lights that NolandVogt had.
Same style anyway.

Hope this answers some of the questions. Look forward to any input.
