Hi Savvy Shoppers and Frugal Friends with Vintage Airstreams,
I couldn't resist this one even though many of you already know it.
I've spent much of this last Winter rubbing shoulders with Boaters
and their boat trailers. The storage lot for our Airstream is 75% big
fishing boats, small yachts and "whatever."
Our Airstream is the mongrel in this crowd, although my 32'er is the
only toy with enough flat real estate to accommodate four 75 watt
solar panels. Until this year, I didn't know there was such a thing
as "boater's drool."
When I read this website article, I realized I don't have the common
boating "kerr-plunk" experiences. My closest experiences are more
along the line of "lurking-loaners."
When someone asks to borrow one of my really good tools, I offer two
helping hands - ("Let's fix it right now - this afternoon.") If today
is no good, then I know where the big orange store is located.
Anyhow - IMHO, this is a fun short story.
