    Paul,

    Great job breathing life into an otherwise part relegated to the scrap
heap.  Want to make it look like it's new?  Bathe it in a 50/50 mix of
muriatic acid and water (packing and O-rig removed) and it'll come clean
before your eyes looking like new.

    Muriatic acid is available at any big box store, hardware store or
swimming pool supply.
