Colorado State Parks has nice parks just off Interstate 70:
Colorado River State Parks in Fruita, and Colorado River State Parks
'something' Isles just east of Grand Junction/Palisade...South of
Grand Junction is Ridgeway State Park, which has three campgrounds(all
are really nice).
Each area has trails and fishing and nearby attractions.
