Sounds like someone replaced your axle some time in the past with a HD implement 
axle and wheels. The original would have been 5 lugs and 14" wheels.  This thing 
must sit up off the ground quit a ways, and I didn't think a 10" tire would even 
fit the wheel well - unless it has been opened up.  You have unlimited options, 
including replacing the axle with someone more proper sized from Dexter or Axis.  
A HD axle may beat the Cruisette to pieces...
