We have used quite a bit of M.E.K. to remove stubborn substances like rubber
residue. It is a fairly potent substance and you will want to use a respirator
and chemical gloves when using it. It won't burn your skin, but I would rather
you not get any on yourself. It will actually attack the rubber and eat it
right off the surface, do not get it on the window. Use foil tape to protect
the window. You can pick it up at home depot in the paint aisle. If you need
extra help get a plastic scraper in the same aisle. Haven't heard of benzine,
so can't say much about that. MEK is cheap and should work great! Good Luck!
