Ed,
I tried to find a good fridge deal on the internet when I redid my '68.  I
did save a lot on smaller items like the water heater, vent fan, heater,
hardware, even my honda generator, but never found a great price on the
fridge.  It just costs too much to ship.  Although they are very expensive,
there doesn't seem to be much of a mark up on them and internet prices are
not that much better.  I waited for a CW sale, became a PC member and got
the best deal there.  Also found a stove on sale at the same time and saved
on both.

You may want to check to see if there are any discount dealers in your area.
Sometimes they can save a few bucks, but they don't always have what you
want in stock.
