I have a folding rocking chair but I think it is from the early 1900s. It is about the size you mention and might be an older version of the same thing. My DD has one as well, so they must have been fairly common at one time. Mine is made of wood, with fabric seat and back which can be replaced fairly easily. Polly in CO
