Jo Ann, That's correct. In fact there are fittings at the end of the bolt rope track on the trailer that hold the bolt rope in place and provide a detent for the ends of the rafter poles to engage. The only way to remove the awning package would be to remove these fittings to release the bolt rope. Matt
