[VAL] Vanessa re: Sport Camping and Camping World
Vanessa,
Newer Airstream travel trailers (from 1969 thru today) have drain lines
running down *through* the inside of the trailer usually running between the
inside and outside metal skins.
What don't you understand? That we want our Airstream trailers to work as
they were intended to? That we are too picky? That we just want our way?
What?
You have old trailers that I see from your signature line. Apparently you
don't understand this subject due to the fact that you don't have what we
have in regards to an internal drain line for the a/c.
The problem with Camping World is that they want to sell you a job, take
your money and then charge you even if you want the job done as it should
be. And you should use a drain pan if you have an internal drain line OR if
you use the Dometic Penguin brand of air-conditioner.
Your old trailers used neither the Penguin, Coleman or Armstrong units. It
might be okay with you to have water streaming down the side of your trailer
or into the doorway when it's open or onto a window, etc. We are not
satisfied with cutting corners - ever.
You know, if you have to cut corners to own an Airstream than maybe it's not
the travel trailer for you (I say "you" in general, not personal). Owning
an Airstream costs money - I call it "Sport Camping!"
