    Chris,

    I bought 12 feet of the 1/2" PEX and the Sharkbite fittings at a place
plumbing supply called Fergeson here in Santa Monica 310.829.3371, ask for
Glenn as he's the guy who took care of me.  The beauty of it all was that I
spent $23 and change for everything including four fittings, the removal
tool (two of them as I allowed that if I got just one, I'd lose it....I
haven't' but that's why I got two) and the tubing, chump change in my book.

    Now here's the tricky part.  I'm a puppy raiser for Guide Dogs of
America and had my 15-month old Golden Retriever pup Bruce with me as I
always do where ever I go.  He's a real show stopper and on top of that
after I'd shared with Glenn what I do for the GDA pups as a volunteer, he
kind of softened up and cut me some slack when I told him I needed just 12
feet of PEX.  I got the feeling that they ordinarily only sell it in bulk
lengths like 100 or 500 feet or something like that.  So if you can find the
1/2" Wirsbo PEX somewhere locally (it looks like Tupperware made it) and
can't find the Sharkbite fittings, I'm sure he can help you out.  If you do
order over the phone, make sure to get that little plastic horseshoe ring
removal tool or you'll never get the tubing out if need be.  This stuff is
soooo cool to work with.
