The six leads are as follows, for the transformer that was used  starting in 
1964, and last used in the 66 Caravels.
 
Two are for the city power. 
 
Two are for 12 volts AC, which is all the lights.
 
The last two are 19 volts AC. That was used for the ceiling fan  circuits 
that used DC motors.
 
A 12 volt DC motor, runs great when powered with 19 volts  AC.
 
When the transformer is being replaced with a Univolt, the fan and  light 
circuit wires can all be fed the same 12 volt DC power.
