It appears that Garmin simply is not interested in Mac users not unlike  
some other hardware and software manufacturers.  I like Garmin products  
but guess I'm stuck with whatever I can get in the way of software.   
Thanks for the note.  I had gone to Apple and found the map package.  I  
was a bit concerned by user comments, but I may give it a try anyway.
