Hello Scott I use a screw in shut off that is plastic. Its green, found in the garden shop with a shut off, I helps keep the pressure and the pump off. This is sort of an in-line shut off for a garden hose. Nothing fancy, Ed WBCCI/VAC 4425 68 Sovereign 59 traveler
