[VAL] Vintage 2nd Step

Many months ago, I saw a picture of a vintage Airstream that had two steps
at the doorway, and, after research, determined that the optional lower
step was what the two holes in my 1967 Overlander's single step were
intended for. Here are "a thousand words":

I have been fortunate enough to acquire one of Airstream's second steps. In
an effort to help others who want to make their own step, a web page:
http://www.knology.net/~tcwilliams/2ndStep.htm
is currently under development. Your thoughts on any key information I have
omitted would be most welcome.

Does anyone know when Airstream STARTED using this particular step? The
only information I have is they STOPPED using it in 1970. While I
personally do not weld pretty enough to make this step for anyone else,
there is a vendor interested in marketing a reproduction if enough people
are interested in purchasing the step.

Any thoughts are welcome, and any traffic on this topic may inspire the
vendor to pursue the topic.

Thanks,
Tom
