RE: [VAL] Airstream One info

Daisy,
The flexible solar panels have been around for awhile. They generate less
power per surface area compared to classic rigid panels, their life
expectancy is lower and they cost less. Now that does not mean that they
are unproven, but rather that they just have different characteristics. You
can overcome the efficiency issue if you can install more panels, but
understand that on the A/S roof you most likely will have to use the rounded
sides of the roof to accomplish this and then you are faced with the fact
that the sun will only hit a portion of the panels at any particular time.

Since you have installed so much LED lighting, the flexible panels might be
a good choice for your situation as you have much lower amp-hour
requirements than a rig using incandescent lighting and therefore the output
of the panels may well be in line with your typical daily battery drain.
