[VAL] Squarestreams

Matt,

Nice looking coach you've gotten. Just about positive it is a 32'. The
front kitchen floor plan is quite rare. For the right person it is a
highly desirable layout.

The ebay pictures show a very predominate "Airstream" letterset on the
ends. These were the original squarestreams. My concern is the factory
records indicate they were only built in 1988-89. Starting in 1990 until
they ended production in 1992 they were labeled "Landyacht" with a very
small decal that said "by Airstream".

It is quite possible that the seller have a title which identifies it as
a 1991. However it is not uncommon for a trailer to be misidentified as
the year it was sold and not the model year the manufacturer built it.
The only way to be positive is to verify the VIN. The 10th character is
for model year: J=88,K=89,L=90,M=91

Even if it turns out to be an earlier coach you still got it for a very
good price. And historically it is of more interest if it is an older
coach. That would make it a true "Squarestream". These after all were
the coaches that set the club into such an uproar. The fuss eventually
ended in 1994 when all Airstream built coaches were allowed to join the
WBCCI.
