This doesn't answer the question, however, there is a toilet from a '51 
Spartan Manor on Ebay now. #2287556157

  1950's Portable Toilet Spartan Airstream Trailer
 
  

This well built portable toilet came out of a 1951 Spartan Manor. It is in very 
nice condition and still quite useable.  It measures 13 inches tall 12 inches wide 
and 15 inches deep. The seat is wood and the rest is metal.
