Re: [VAL] RV's and communications

We use Direct Tv, and keep the receiver in the bedroom at home until we go
on the road. (Direct TV has it listed as being in the RV, so we can't get
pay-per-view stuff unless we call them on the phone, but then we don't need
a permanent phone connection for it, either.) We just disconnect it from the
coax and tv, take it out to the A/S and hook it up. Don't even need to call
them. Downside is that outside of the 'cone', we can't get local stations,
but that's no big deal.

The dish is mounted on the A/S, and works well. The 'new' A/S has an
automatic sat antenna on it, and it works like a charm, tho a bit large.

Direct TV only charges $5.00 for the second receiver in addition to the
normal service that we have.
