I know what Gerald said.  Did you read what I wrote?

I made no mention of greater fuel use, greater noise, less efficiency or
whatever.

All I said was this:  AC or AC/DC power can be supplied "from the same fuel
tank" or words to that effect.  And that is a true statement - the truck
fuel tank creates power for the truck's engine and the truck's engine powers
up the onboard generator.
