Nope. Clear coat is transparent when applied but gets cloudy over time and begins to peel off. The aluminum skin is sort of shiny but it's the polishing of the aluminum that makes it really shiny by removing the oxidation on the surface of the aluminum skin. Jim Greene ' 68 Tradewind
