The funnel shaped washing machine object is called a "posser" - they were
made in different designs similar to the agitator in your automatic washer
and did the same job. You can use a plumber's helper to do the same thing.
For washing small items in the sink, a plastic potato masher does a good
job - then there is the old fashioned wash board for the real dirty stuff,
takes up very little room in an RV.
