Greetings, My '71 23' Safari had a plastic battery cover that the vent tube came out of to go to the vent hole above the battery access cover. I've since sold that one so I can't get you a picture of it, but that is how it was supposed to have worked. Cliff, WBCCI # 26925 and VAC member
