glass wax works - sometimes hard to find, I found it online: http://www.jensco.com/glasswax.html but it looks like they won't be making it any more. I did a quick search and came up with metal wax: http://www.metalwax.com but I haven't tried it. also, I think that http://www.airmark-tools.net has a protectant. Toby
