May 4th. Fish are calling me. I'll be gone from Sunday April 17th to

Hi Glyn,

May I ask where you bought the shaver? Pearl is always in need of a good shaving
so I figure I should always have one on hand or I'd rent yours!

    Patti,

I'm not sure where I bought my HS310 shaver but the maker is:

    Gesipa Fasteners USA, Inc.
    375 Phillips Blvd.
    Ewing NJ 08618
    Phone: 800.257.9404
    Fax: 609.883.8301

Maybe someone else on the List can tell you where it find it from a
retail source.

    Hope this helps,

    Glyn

Glyn,

I would be very interested in borrowing your shaver...However I do not
anticipate having the time to use it for the next three weeks.

Try:

Crest Fasteners (Rivetsplus.com)
Santa Fe Springs, CA
562.903.1652
Ask for Cecelia

I ger my rivets there. I don't have a shaver because I was waiting for
someone to come along that would rent one to me cheap <gin>.

I also think that Steve at Airstreamdreams.com sells them, as well as the
rivets.

    Scott,

I started a small spreadsheet of those interested that I'll add your
name to. You'll be the fourth on the list.

I just mailed the shaver out to the first borrower so it might be a
short while before I can get it to you.

    Later,

Would you have a place to start looking for the aluminum Eye Brow over
the top of the windows......like on a "57"Clipper? I tried the Airstream
dealer and the profile the factory faxed him is completely different!( as
you know Airstreams from from the 50's and 60's had the same looking piece
over the windows)
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Tom,

I spoke with Bruce at High Times RV Center in Washington state today
looking for my usual shopping list items of impossible-to-find Airstream
parts for our Caravel and I'd swear that he said in passing that he had
three '50's vintage Airstreams in his yard. He can be reached by phone at:
866.556.0344 or 360.456.0344.

If I was all wrong about this, he might still be a good one to possibly
recommend another source.

I mentioned to him that I was awaiting word of an Airstream (my vintage)
about to arrive at another yard on the other side of the country to see if
it had a few of handful of parts I still need and to my surprise, he knew
about that very unit as he needed some parts from it too. This guy IS
CONNECTED!

I hope that this might be of some help to Randy

If I had this problem I would have one made from soft aluminum of the proper
thickness which would then be heat treated for strength. An aircraft
mechanic who knows how to work metal would have an easy time making this
once he or she had the dimensions.

    Tom,

Stripping, I didn't get the impression that he was "stripping" them. My
guess is that he has them for parts he needs from time to time but might be
willing to sell the odd piece. But what do I know? Call and you might be
surprised.

    All,

Tonight I'm offering up four pinkish, tanish Texas Ware food trays to
anyone who thinks that they could need them. Marilyn just came in and she
calls them lavender so, hey they're some color and they're yours for the
cost of the postage. They're in excellent condition, as close to unused as
you can get.

All you have to do is let me know and be the first to do so.

We'll then exchange emails back channel and I'll get your address, pack
them up promptly (sorry for the delay Tom but your Revere Ware really is on
its way) and send them off to you.

    That's all for now,

Subject: [VAL] Thanks to all

Dear Group,

Thanks to all of you for the tips, we did finally manage to get the Bowen Hot
water heater fixed, it was the thermocouple as all of you suggested, it had
just gotten stuck after such a long time but now it's working and we're getting
clear, hot water.

I'm not at the point of working on the DC electricity yet, I'm sure you'll
hear from me when I do.

Again, thanks to all of you "old pros" out there that have helped me with
these seemingly small problems. However, I do have a question. I have small
Oddie Fastener knobs on drawers and cabinets. The knob parts work but the
base/sleeve on some of them no longer function. I know who sells them in the
netherlands, but in large lots on some items, does anyone have any sources here in
the USA? Any tips?

Sincerely,

Bebe Gordon

Glyn,

Am I still eligible for cargo shifting? If so, I'll take the Texas ware
trays.

Thanks,
Wally

Yes!

And I think those of us borrowing it should do our best to make sure he
never regrets it!
