Brian or anyone else. I'm looking for a 50's style fridge, working or
not. Anybody have one/know where I can get one?

Jeff

Hi Jeff,
I'm looking for a fridge for my '56 Caravanner. I need the in-wall Marvel
style with the chrome trim strip around it. Neither of my Airstreams had a
fridge when I bought them.

Thankyou so much Gerald for your info on the region!
I'm planning on taking my Airstream and 90 year old hippie mother to Idaho to
see her big brother and will now include Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

Bobby,

I have been there several times. Assuming that you can dry camp there are
many campgrounds within the park. Just be certain to get in and set up
before noon (assuming that they still don't take reservations) or you WILL
get shut out. It is a HUGE park. Depending on the time you have pick a CG in
the northern half and stay there a few days while you explore the northern
loop. Then move to a CG in the southern loop and do your sightseeing on the
southern half. If you must have full hookups there is one CG in the park
that offers them (southern loop). Make your reservations NOW, you still
might not get in. Otherwise you will need to stay outside the park. If you
do you will be spending an extra 2 to 3 hours a day commuting. Like I said
it is a huge park. I'm thinking that the speed limit in the park is 45, but
due to "wildlife jams" you will spend much of your time waiting behind the
car in front of you. Even so it is one of my favorite places and I highly
recommend it to you. Be sure to take a day and head south to the Grand
Tetons.

Scott

Phil,

The drape tabs used in my 60 still seem to be commonly available. About 3
years ago we got a bunch from a JoAnn Fabrics store, but I would think that
any RV place can get them for you if they don't have them on hand. They are
called Camper Tabs and are in a 2003 RV parts catalog.

For the window parts, try Inland RV. While I have had no problems with them,
several people have, so be careful.

Subject: [VAL] question about curtain and window parts

I have a 1961 tradewind and need help with obtaining parts. I need the tabs
that slide in the small "C" channel that sew to the curtain material. Also I
need a few of the small nylon? sliders that go in the hehr windows, the ones
that go in the ends of the arms of the openers. It looks like they were one
piece that folded around the arm and went through the hole. There is a
spring that goes between the sides when they are folded together to keep
them snug in the window frame track. Any help would be appreciated, Phil

Forrest: you can look at my Overlander tomorrow night . I had a Penguin

There is a 1976 25' Airstream (probably Trade Wind) listed for sale in
today's Washington Post. Listed as "clean, new tires" for $8,500. I
called to inquire not for myself but to get info. Person selling
because he has no time for it. Purchased six month's ago for use in
Florida but because of hurricane activity did not go. Call Eric Cohn @
202-288-9996 (Cellular) or 202-488-8857. I have NO FINANCIAL INTEREST
in this, just thought I'd pass along the information for someone
looking. He told me it is parked near his business here in Washington.

Hi All,

Does anyone want my little Norcold fridge? It's a mid- to late '60s gas
(only, no electric) model and has a great turquoise door. Measurements: H
= 23 1/2, W = 20 1/2, D = 22 inches. It came out of my '56 Bubble but
wasn't original. I've never used it and don't know if it works. It looks
pretty good though and it's FREE to anyone who wants to pick it up in
Sacramento.

Hi All,

I'd really like to get rid of the 4 Carslile 700 -15 tires that wouldn't fit
my Argosy. They are free plus shipping just to to get them out of my
garage. Been on the shelf for two years and are faily fresh. Put them on
my Argosy and took them off, only use

                                               Regards, Joy T Brew
