I just put the info on the steps I took to refinish my whole bath on my
A/S stie in case it helps.
http://flummoxed.org/lexxey/dew1.htm
This paint is holding up well...I haven't used the sink to bathe in but
it doesn't chip when I drop tools there! That's been the test so far.
The secret is really good sanding and thin coats of primer and paint and
letting it cure.

I varnished the new cabinets in the A/S for 8 hours yesterday...whew!!!
Now I get to sand and revarnish....lucky me!!! We only have the
couch/bed to go...yea!!! Of course then we get to polish for a few
weeks...at lease it's cool now!!!

The websites won't come up because the hyperlink in Terry's posting is too
long. You have to copy and paste each one to get it all in.

...Wherever we are, we pick specific dealers and shops where service or
cosmetic work can be done as needed or wanted. Recommendations by VAC
members and our own previous experience is how we locate these people.
Nation wide networking is an art form we've been cultivating for years.

I recently purchased a GT from a fellow in Wisconsin and had it delivered to
the west. On the way out, a truck in front of the tow vehicle lost a tire,
parts of which burrowed deep into the skin of my new trailer. Luckily, I
insured it before the trip west so the damage is covered. I have no
experience dealing with trailer repairs and so could be easily taken for a
ride by an unscrupulous repair shop. If you're a repair shop, please
disregard the previous sentence. Can anybody on the list recommend a shop in
the Sacramento area?
Thanks in advance,
Wyn

Hi, Wyn,

Sure can! I was totally happy with my skin repair at Executive Air Repair, at
Executive Airport on Freeport Blvd. Beautiful job, great service. Mine was the big
flat side panel, but I met someone at the rally last week who just got a curved panel
replaced there, and he was happy with the work, too. You can reach their GM, Jason
Hauck, at 916-421-6756. Feel free to email me if you have any specific questions. You
can also see a picture of the repair at
http://pages.sbcglobal.net/ameeker/accident.htm

Good luck!

You might want to consider taking the FRP endcaps down and repairing the
back side of the cracks with fiberglass. If you use only bondo on the
visible surface, the cracks will reappear very quickly.

I worked so hard on this settee that's curved and has weird back rests
with all kinds of angles that I just have to show off!!!
http://flummoxed.org/lexxey/dew3.htm
See bottom of this above page.

Yeah...I could wait until it's all finished but I'm not that good at
patience. ...and I'm so excited to have an idea actually come to
fruition. I'm havin a fit to show somebody who can appreciate it!!!

We didn't need the extra bed and I decided that the little bit of
storage under this place wasn't worth fooling with. We made 74- 1 1/4"
cherry slats and I glued and nailed them to form the curve. Now I get to
make the cushions. It's 77" long....plenty of room for us 2. It was so
much fun figuring out the right angles and spacing the seating area.

The Mr is building a 7 sided sorta trapazoid table [just fits in to
seating area] out of curly maple with a koa band[wood from Maui] that
will fold down for passing room.

What is a good pedistal for a table? I've seen several. It doesn't
have to move down...just lift out.

I am in need of some of the twist latches for our '64 Overlander. These have
to be twisted to open the doors. The have a round knurled operator and a
recessed receiver.
If anyone knows where to get some of them, let me know.

Nothing like that in my '68 Caravel. Take a look at www.mcmaster.com and
look at their catalog numbers 1626A53 or 1626A37 or 1626A38 or 1626A44
or 1626A45 or others on that page. Maybe 1702A41 or A42 or 1340A32.
There may be something else within a few pages of those that catches
your eye as useful.

We bought a Eureka "THE BOSS" super lite. Cost about
$50 at k-mart, works great. Collapsible handle,
removable filter, motor driven head, very light.
We like it a lot

I was thinking of this, even 4" stuff, but doesn't it rattle around?

Were you able to locate the clips I described? I not sure what size channel
you frame is, but the 1 1/2" fit in the channel of the Crusette. I cut it
tight , put it into the channel on one edge, and then wired and and taped the
remaining edge. Here is a photo, hope it helps.

                                     Good luck,
