Gophers, moles, thirteen stripe ground squirrels? All make holes,
actually only the ground squirrels leave them open to the surface, moles
and pocket gophers dislike light and rarely open their holes to the
surface. All their holes will accept huge amounts of water without
drowning the occupants. They aren't as simple as they seem from the
surface but seem to have a bit of hydraulics planned in them to divert
surface water from the living quarters. E.g. its futile, I've found to
try to drown the rascals with the garden hose.

Yup, my manual calls it a "gopher hole" too. Even in the index.

Hi ,
Now that I have all my interior panels and wiring back in , does anyone have any
hints about spraying zolatone ? Will a spray tip for acrylic enamel work ? I read
some about it on website , but would like to hear about it from some who have
used it - like do I spray out the whole trlr at higher pressure and then go back
and spatter it at low , or spatter from each cup used ? Any experience`s ?

As I was looking at small vacume cleaners to use on the A/S and
eventually on our boat I wondered what models others have found handy
for strength and weight and price. I would like one that will blow too
and might have to get a small shop kind.

I already have a rechargeable battery, extended handle electric broom
type but it seems I will need some hose attachment for dust control.

Also...has anyone put in an air filter for allergies in their A/s? A
small one to keep the dust of people in a small space down.

My Mr offered me a Sharper Image silent one for my 60th birthday last
week {wow!!} does anyone use one on an A/S?

[I refused the gold earrings offered and am going for a sailmakers
sewing machine!! He isn't crazy enough to JUST get me an aircleaner...]

Hi All -
As some will remember I have two coachs from 1966 a safari 22' I tour with, and an
Overlander 26', under restoration. I am in my season now performing at historcial
reenactments all over the country. So My Overlander has been idle for a few weeks.

While stopping home at Indianapolis for a week off, I discvoered a cat evidently had
kittens under my floor in the belly pan! She's long gone and a tiny white and ginger
tabby kitten, dropped out on the grass in front of me from an area by the A frame
which was opened up for wiring.

I thought it was male but I am now not certain. "He's" a couple of week old and in great
health, and I am feeding him replacement mother milk with a feeder. It's doing very well.
Curious, playful and full of kitteny goodness. "He" will be a very handsom cat.

I really love cats but my roomates are serious allergic and I must get him or her, to a
family.

My next jump is to Mobile Alabama in a week, and I am taking I-65 most of the way from
Indianapolis. So Who wants an Authentic Vintage Airstream tabby cat? The local non lethal
Cat Haven has no vacancies, and some friends are thinking about it, but no one is biting
yet. I have no photos yet to post .

This couldn't be more off topic, so I apologise and ask for responses to me directly, or
feel free to telephone 317-319-6577. Let's find Wally a home even if it's made of Aluminum!

Joe, I think I may have a table for you, I picked it up at the VT
international. It was from a 60's trailer. I chose to stay with my 70's
plastic interior. Shall I send you a picture ?

Hi:
I can recommend the small size Shop Vac that is available at Target stores
and apparently not at other outlets... It's about the size of a small water
pail and has an internal bag... It has great suction and the price was very
nominal... Check it out before you buy something expensive.

I'm not sure if we replied back to folks wanting to know about the '04 RM
Rally. The planning committee is working on location and dates, so we'll be
posting that sometime soon when the details are known.
Thanks for your interest. We are looking forward to another succesful and
fun rally, most likely in the southern part of Colorado for access to those
cross countrying. Stay tuned.

Chris- I recently painted my Globetrotter with Zolatone, it is not as
hard as you might imagine. Hardest part for me was finding a source for
the paint, and special acrylic primer. Primer cost $15 a gallon, and
was more difficult to apply , due to consistency, but necessary. The
paint itself cost $80/gal, (I ordered 1 primer, but two of the paint,
in case I needed extra-same lot), selecting a sample online. The
zolatone came with good instruction booklet, and an actual sample card,
with specifics on which paint gun to use. But I used an inexpensive,
pressure gun from Harbor freight tools, on sale at $79, even though I
had two other siphon sprayers. The paint itself goes on easily, but it
is the weirdest stuff, with a consistency of curdled milk. When it hits
the surface, the microglobules of other colors get released, and create
the splatter effect. Already it is showing excellent durability, as I
re-outfit the interior.
If you would like more details, I can provide details. Try this link:
http://www.zolatoneaim.com/ Sure, you can do it!!

Lynn,

I have two of the Sharper Image air purifiers at home. I take one with me
when traveling in the Airstream. It is truly amazing how much dust it takes
out of the air in our trailer, but then again we do have a jalousie window,
which never does shut tightly. That said, we often find ourselves parked
where there is a lot of dust and dirt.

Is anyone interested in how our behavior of exploring and satisfying our

from the prehistoric perspective and describe how we got this way and why.

Chris,
Did you have all wood work removed prior to repainting? What kind of shape
were the fiberglass ends in? My Globe Trotter has some severe cracking and
delamination in the bathroom. I have been considering using bondo to
restore the surface prior to painting.
