I have seen flexible solar panels in marine catalogs. They are made to
attach to sails, I think.

They are indeed. When I still had my sailboat, I used one of these panels
to keep the batteries charged, while it was in storage. I now use it on the
trailer, and throw it up on the front window cover when it is open.

My Amana rt10-r microwave oven uses a lamp of about that same
description. I found the last one at the local hardware store.

Help !

I finally got my aluminum wheels, but ordered lug NUTS instead of LUG
BOLTS. I'm hoping that I can go to a speed shop and get the right thing,
but of course I don't know what size they are and of course they're on
there too tight for me.

The lugnuts that AS sent me are 1/2

This is a '73 ambassador,

PAnic, never going to get it done by next Wed !

Randy,
I was not happy with the styles available when it came time to do mine, so I
made a clear one out of aluminum angle and two pieces of lexan. Write me off
list for more info if you like. You'll be able to see it in person at the
Rocky Mtn. VAC rally soon.

I fear the speed shop will not have lug bolts because I've never seen
lug bolts used on a car or truck. Airstream may be your only source.
Farm equipment often uses lug bolts but they aren't commonly made for
aluminum wheels because farm equipment rarely gets that fancy.

To get off a tight lug bolt, add a piece of pipe or tubing to the end of
the lug wrench for more leverage. Or acquire an electric impact wrench
(preferably 12 volt for use on the road) to loosen and replace those lug
bolts.

Many European cars use lug bolts as OEM equipment, rather than lug nuts and
wheel studs (commonly called lug bolts here in the U.S.)

A good auto parts store should have all three...studs, bolts and nuts.

Actually, the speed shop was willing to order them for me, but i decided
to get them from AS. No time for any more mistakes.

Apparently, GM used the bolts for a while, probably during the early
70's which would explain why my '73 needs them.

And finding the lug wrench and the pipe and lugging it all down there
was what i was trying to avoid. Plus I don't have a thread gauge any more.

They are , for the record 1/2 by 20.

Should be here by Friday.
I may pull this off yet.

Thanks,
Daisy
