Hi All!

I'm stuck here on Long Island missing the carefree days of summer,
traveling the open roads in Colorado! Teaching is getting in the way of
my wandering! Anyway, in an effort to consolidate my hitching parts for
two Airstreams, I'm selling my one year old Hensley Hitch. It was on my
03 Safari and used with a Suburban. If interested contact my off line!

Patti -

I'm at the Bill Thomas Rally in Sedalia, MO.
with about 400+ trailers and Motor homes.

Ben and Molly said to say hello.

They are showing the new "B" Van. It's called the Interstate and it's
on the Fedex chassis with a 5 cylinder Mercedes diesel. Cool looking
and lots of head room.

Send me the info and price on your Hensley and I'll talk it up here.

Either, they both have to be cleaned.

Blair,

Is the FedEx chassis you refer to made by Freightliner? I think I've seen
those and with the Mercedes 5-cylinder diesel engine installed. The mileage
is phenomenal.

Has anyone ever tried to replace the aluminum channel that makes up the
framework of roof? I am replacing rear curved panels on '61 and just
realized that a piece of the channel is damaged from tree vs. roof incident.
I would like to replace it with aluminum channel but it has a curve to it
and looks like something custom made. Any ideas?

I have all of the segments that form the curve for replacement, however
while I'm going to all of this trouble I would like to find one more segment
to install. If you are looking at the rear endcap and the middle piece is
No. 1, I need the segment that is two over from that if you move in a
clockwise position.

Maybe someone has a parts Airstream that they would be willing to sell some
pieces of?

Thanks for any leads.

  Tom ,
I took the nieghbors cat and put its tail in the chuck of the compounder
,dipped him in f 7 and started buffing , man that left some deep ones . I`ve
been trying everything to get that perfect shine .... ;>P
Just fooling ! thanks for the tip about the wire brush , I`ll try that on
the cyclo , I have been using a spur on the compounder , that works well if
you do it often . Try the cloth over cyclo , its good .

I just got some new solar panels for my 63 , they are flexable and bonded to
bituthane (like ice and water shield , really sticky) which I am going to stick
on the whole streetside roof 10 ft. x 30" from the vents to the windows ,
basically. Made by Unisolar and meant to stick on standing seam metal roofs .
I`ll let you all know how it turns out . I dont have room on the very top
between the vents for rigid panels of any worthwhile wattage and wasnt to happy
about a flat frame on a round roof anyway . I had engineered all sorts of
complex frames in my head and then I found out about these which will follow the
curve . The best news is thats nearly 30sq ft I wont have to polish !

Tom
I've seen them in catalogs and such but never used one.
A few years ago I started to get one so that I could dump my waste tank into
the septic at home. After a few inquires into them I instead opted to go
with a Macerator pump. I did not really consider the
advantages/disadvantages of the Sewer Solution for camping use. I was mainly
looking at being at to dump my tank at home and move the waste a long
distance, from where I park the trailer to my septic is about 85-90 feet.
The macerator fit my need/requirement better than the Sewer Solution would.

Bobby,

Would you happen to have pictures of how you hooked up your macerator pump?
I'm thinking of adding one of those as well to use from time to time. We
will be doing an addition before long and I will then have a chance to add a
sewer connector next to my driveway which should make it handy.
