hi joann,
from many years of sailing experience the heaters used in boats would seem 
most ideal, trouble is they generally burn kerosene or diesel and most need 
a day tank above the stove that needs to be pumped from the main storage 
tank. Some can be hand filled as they have a tank built into the heater.
