[VACList] '63 FC window glazing replacement

I have bought some window glazing and it has taken a lot of
effort to put it on the window.  it is the flexible glazing from Airstream
Dreams, which they state fits a '63 Flying Cloud.  it is thicker by about
3/16th and not as wide and when fitted in the glazing itself does not press
against the glass.   does anyone know an easier way to put them in 
without a screwdriver and brute force (as much as there is).  help will be 
appreciated.
