Hi Red,

All things must be considered and your torsion bar axles are not exception.
Considering this along with the fact that the brakes are obsolete, might
encourage  you to completely retrofit the axle with new everything.    The
new oval brakes are much more efficient than the old round magnets.  I Know
it's expensive, but there are alternatives that might cost $500 including
shipping rather than $800 plus shipping.

Not to belabor the point, think about it for a bit.  There are alternatives
that will require only minor modification on your part.  If you are tool
literate, you might welcome the change to  a new axle and brakes.
