The stock location for the valve petcock is usually in the line that 
goes into the HW heater under the sink cabinet depending on your 
layout. There should be copper tube that then goes to daylight through 
the floor and belly.  If not there anymore, then some PO has possibly 
messed with the system, and then unfortunately you are on your own....
