Jim,
If you have new shocks and your wheels/tires are
balanced then you should have additional tire
wear indications in addition to cupping if your axles are misaligned.
Cupping WITHOUT other scuffing patterns is normally balance or suspension
related but I suppose anything is possible. Good luck.
