[VAC] Re: Buying Axles

I guess that if you don't need any kind of guarantee/warranty, then you can
tell them what ever you want... If you are ready to take on the
responsibility of making it fit, then they are not the only game in
town.... Check out www.dexteraxle.com and the Torflex rubber mounted
axle... also the Nev-R-Lube wheels... There are other manufacturers as
well, but you would need to work with a dealer with a shop that could mount
the axles... Inland is not the only place to get the axles, just the only
place to get a Henschen that should be a direct replacement for the one you
have.... Inland would not have so much problem getting folks to buy their
pricing, if no-one had ever bought an axle direct or paid for the rebuild
of old axles... There is a log of aggravation for a manufacturer when they
are supplying a one of a kind unit that is supposed to be exactly like one
they built 25 years or so ago... Selling a skid load of axles that are all
alike to Airstream is a lot easier...

Good Luck in your efforts....

Jim
