Elaine:

  I don't have one nearby to scan or take of photo of and
post for you, but they look like a slightly elongated bell. 
They are flat on the back side for mounting, and round on
the front.  My 1957 Flying Cloud (sold last year) had the
same one.  They were industry standard outdoor lights during
the 1950's.  You might find one on any old 1950's era travel
trailer or mobile home, or in the parts bins at some RV
salvage yards.
