[VAC] Battery charging

Hi -

I just had a new battery put in the Bambi and on the way home from the RV
shop my car battery started discharging. I'm going on a trip tomorrow (and
of course the shop is closed) and I'm wondering if it was a one-shot thing
or if I need to be concerned about it. Anybody else ever have this happen?
If it happens while I'm on the road can I just unhook the trailer battery?
Will my lights still work if I do?

And - the little glass tube that I can peek at to see how much water is in
the tank broke. I hardly ever used it, but it is very cute. We sealed off
the line so it doesn't leak, but I'd like to put another one in. Anybody
know if there is a replacement?
