Hi,

I just reset the running lights on my '74 Argosy.  I wanted to make the job
last a while as the end caps where they are installed are galvanized steel.
Unfortunately, the galvanizing wore through and I had to wire brush the rust
off.  I opted to spray the bare metal with rustoleum and then use butyl tape
as a replacement for the fiber backing originally on the back of the running
lights.  Unfortunately, the drain hole on the running lights was on the top
as installed by Airstream technicians.  Dhaaa, what's up doc!

I finished the job with butyl caulk rather than vulkem as I want to repaint
the unit in the future.  For now, I'm just sealing every seam, etc. in hopes
of stopping the entry of water.  Hopefully it will rain in the morning so I
can test my theories! :)

I didn't use the anti corrosive paste on the screws, but I'll take care of
that in a few days (I did  replace the zinc clad screws with stainless
steel!)  Too many other things to take care of right now.
